HONOR GUARD

A VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Post Honor Guard is  a group of volunteers, typically veterans themselves, who provide military funeral honors for deceased veterans. These honors include a three-volley rifle salute, sounding of Taps, and the ceremonial folding and presentation of the American flag to the family. VFW Posts across the country have Honor Guards, and they often conduct these honors as a way to show gratitude and respect for their fellow veterans.
