Executive Post Officer Meeting

On the 2nd Monday of each month. Our Post holds our House Executive Meeting monthly meeting at 10:30 AM. This meeting is for Post Officer and Trustees. Members are encourage to attend.

Voice of Democracy

Students must create an original audio essy lasting between 3 and 5 minutes (with a + or - second allowance). The recording should be submitted on a flash drive or other electronic device. All entries must include the recording, typed essay and a complete Voice of Democracy Form. Submissions will be forward to VFW Post 1820 (Temple, TX) for judging. The essay must be the sole work of the student, and the use of ChatGPT or any other AI tools is prohibited.

What is the Patriot’s Pen Program? Conducted nationwide, this VFW-sponsored youth essay competition gives students an opportunity to write essays expressing their views on an annual patriotic theme. We invite you to join the more than 60,000 students who participated last year in this contest.
